Trauma in Emergency Workers is Different

Effective treatment requires a comprehensive approach.

First Responder Solutions for Mental Health Symptoms

Everyone goes through challenging situations in life, and while you may have successfully navigated through other difficulties you have faced, there is nothing wrong with seeking out extra support when you need it. Therapy provides long-lasting benefits and support, giving you the tools you need to avoid triggers, re-direct damaging patterns, and overcome whatever challenges you face.

The VCRW offers comprehensive treatment at our center in Colchester, VT. We help agencies establish Peer Support programs with ASAP-trained paraprofessionals for their department. Our ASAP trainings teach how to recognize, address and work with individuals to desensitize stress and trauma.

Find the Tools & Support You Need

If you or a First Responder you love is struggling with mental health symptoms, you are not alone. We use the latest practices in Trauma Recovery Science to treat PTSD, anxiety, depression and other mental health presentations at their core.

"These people that are supposed to be helping us... who helps them?"

We have seen that “toughing it out”  is not the answer. Meet the faces that are working to improve access to First Responder mental healthcare and change the conversation around First Responder mental toughness.

“Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you, doesn’t mean you can, should, or need to do it alone.”
